Welcome to Saltholmens Kallbadhus
Saltholmens Kallbadhus has existed as a nude beach in Göteborg, Sweden, since 1908.
In the bath there is a large department for ladies only and a large section for men only.
Between them we have a mixed area, mainly for couples and families.
In the middle of the field is a building with a kiosk, toilets and a sauna. It is also possible
to take fresh water showers outdoors in several places.
The beach has a wonderful view of the sea and it is quiet and relaxing. You can reach
the water from the cliffs, sandy beaches and docks with stairs down into the water.
The sea bottom is sandy and the water is salty.
Opening hours
The bath is open May 1 to September 15, every day with sunny weather at 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.
The sauna is open every saturday for ladies at 1 p.m. – 4 p.m. and every friday for gents at 2 p.m. – 6 p.m.
Fees
The bath is run by a private organization, Kallbadhusets Vänner Saltholmen.
The entrance fee is 40 SEK for adults and 20 SEK for children 7-16 years.
Free entrance for children under the age of 7 years, in company with an adult family
member. If you want to be a regular visitor next year, ask for membership.
Location
The beach is situated about 300 meters from the terminus of tram line 11 (in summer
also line 9). It is hard to find parking in Saltholmen in the summer, so we recommend
the tram. See a map here.
